It all started with a big- BANG!
The Hammersmith Incident was a disaster that occurred in 1922 caused by Doctor Sir Calvin Hammersmith.[1]
Overview[]
On July 21, 1922, in West London, Doctor Sir Calvin Hammersmith was presenting a experiment to likeminded scientists, artists, and friends, investors, inventors, and journalists. It claimed to be an engine which would access a new form of energy, and provide infinite energy to humanity. When the experiment was activated the telluric energies washed over the world, unlocking the potential for Inspired in humanity, and beginning the Inspired Age.
The telluric engine explosion and subsequent inferno killed several attendees. Hammersmith sacrificed himself to shut down the machine. While saving other attendees Max Mercer disappeared, not to reappear for six months.
