Events

• A Chinese extrasolar expedition detects alien radio signals. After identifying their source, the group's teleporter jumps the ship into orbit above the world they called Qinshui, and they make first contact with an alien race which they dub the Qin. It goes well, as the Qin are peaceful and naturally telepathic.
• The Tiwi Littoral Republic, a community of Aboriginal aquas in Australia "at war" with Oceania, "secedes" and becomes a micronation.
• Makaro-Shima becomes the first truly independent floating city. It joins the unofficial nation of Oceania as its largest city, and the first to float on the ocean's surface.
• The Æon Trinity loans Brunei funds to help it develop new "living" architecture in cooperation with Norça and other biokinetics.
• ISRA begins admitting neutrals who are sincere spiritual seekers as associate members. The policy change means that over the next 15 years, ISRA becomes one of the largest psi orders with over 250,000 associate members, despite only having 5000 psions.
• Proxy S.K. Bhurano endorses the common viewpoint which started with the Vesta attack in 2105 that Corruption is an inevitable result of possessing Quantum powers, leading to many to use Corruption and Quantum Flux interchangeably.
• Sales and popularity of the NuYu brand plunges; the company loses millions of yuan and hundreds of staff. A few months later, the announcement of the Qin breaks co-founder Nuradiin Nuurre Yusuf out of his depressive episode.

April

• April 22: Jane Richmond, a colonist in New Hope, Averiguas, writes an opmail to her dad Michael Richmond of the United Kingdom about her experiences as a colonist.

August

• The Chinese government's anti-faith coalition has a very sudden change of heart, revoking their prejudicial legislative demands and pushing leaders to make amends with the country's Christians and Muslims.
